ATLAS-UK in-person meeting 21-22 April 2022, IPPP Durham

Following the move online of the ATLAS-UK meeting in January this year, we looked for an opportunity to meet in-person for a one day meeting and dinner.  The timing as always is tricky to balance other meetings, term dates, accommodation availability and so on.

Taking all factors into account, and realising the date will not work for all, we will hold a standalone meeting on 21-22 April at the IPPP in Durham (Indico link).   We will start at lunchtime on 21st and finish at lunch on 22nd, allowing the majority of people to travel there on 21st morning and home on 22nd afternoon.

Accommodation and dinner are arranged at Grey College. For those who cannot travel there and back on 21st/22nd April, a small number of rooms is reserved the previous night, 20th.  Remote participation will be possible but in-person attendance is strongly encouraged since that’s the main reason for us wanting to hold another meeting so soon.

Since we had a full programme of talks from across the community in January, the talks this time will be overview talks in each area, primarily led by project leaders and convenors, with time for discussion, and with a Run 3 focus.

ATLAS UK meeting 2022

Due to the government’s work from home guidance announced recently, the 2022 edition of the ATLAS UK Physics Meeting will unfortunately now be held online-only from Wednesday 5th to Friday 7th January 2022.  Indico link.

The meeting will start at 10:30 on the Wednesday and we will be finished with the main part by 13:00 on the Friday.  Friday afternoon will be devoted to tutorials and the Collaboration Board meeting.

We will delay the poster session to the one-day in-person meeting we are planning for spring.
